A-Party of South Africa votes for DotAhead
Anthony Penderis, a successful professional with a high flying career in the publishing industry decided to quit and start a political party back home in South Africa. Anthony was to create a website for him that positions him as a world class politicial and funds his campaign through thousands of micro-donations, a model succefully demonstrated by Obama.
The problem was unique to us as the political segment was new and the South Africa was an unknown market. After several rounds of discussion on various architypes of people who will come to the website, we zeroed in on a design and structure for the website.
Websites like these are usually plagued by a high bounce rate from the home page which means that large volumes of people do come to the website but leave within a few seconds. We designed the home page to ensure that all types of users find some 'hooks' or sections that resonate with them and click through.
Our solution to A-Party also included the site being powered by a backend 'Content Management System' called Movable Type which allows any non-technical admin to update pages on the site. We also integrated a donation system for A-Party to collect small donations.
